🌍 World Music — Peruvian
Bayerwaldradio
Webradio bavaroise diffusant de la Volksmusik en continu.
Peruvian music combines a great diversity of Andean, coastal, Amazonian, Creole and Afro-Peruvian traditions. Quena, siku, charango, harp, violin and brass ensembles are used in the Andes depending on the region and festivity, while huayno is one of the most widespread genres. Afro-Peruvian music notably uses the cajón, the quijada and hand-clapping in forms such as festejo or landó. Lima's criolla music includes the Peruvian waltz, the marinera and other genres stemming from European, African and mixed exchanges. Peruvian cumbia, chicha, rock, pop and Andean fusions today extend this particularly vibrant heritage.
